past month, past year, would be enlightening to consult a list of top100 or top250 searches to gauge how often, comparatively, people are seeking "appjs" vs "nodejs" vs xyz.

Okay, per this blog post, I understand that "image processing" classes are hot... but it would be more enlightening to know what, specifically, my peers are seeking solutions for. Handling uploads? Cropping? applying fx via imageMagick? Conversion jpg{--}png? Do searches indicate much interest yet in WebP image format?

Due to the absence of sufficient (ranked) granular detail, this "zeitgeist" amounts to "trivia". Details are important. Example: If you hadn't specifically mentioned it, I probably wouldn't have categorized QRcode generation as an "image processing" concern. ("graphics-}Image Generation", yes, but not "image(file) processing")

Yakim, maybe the article was not clear, but the specific searches that were grouped in those categories are in the JavaScript Zeitgeist ranking itself. Just take a look at it here:
